Welcome

Debra Nystrom has been in private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Apple Valley, California since 1994.  Integrated Therapies, A Family Counseling Corporation, began in 1996.  The office has been at the present location since 2015.

Integrated Therapies became the company name as it best described the many modalities needed to address the unique difference of each client.  A variety of clinical approaches are possible to help clients achieve the most benefit.

Clients of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds are welcome.  The office is open long hours to accommodate most schedules and many insurance plans are accepted.

Please take a few moments to review our website and see if we or any of our referral sources can be of assistance.

President's Statement

As president of Integrated Therapies, A Family Counseling Corporation, I believe that therapists should act both as guides and as advocates for their clients.  It is our job not only to help clients gain self-awareness but to also teach and model more successful strategies rather than the choices made in the past.

Clients of all ages are welcome and I believe that all child and adolescent therapy should include the parents and

other family members whenever possible.  Consistency is everything.

All Faiths, family arrangements, ethnicities, and income levels are welcome.  I do not believe in imposing my personal beliefs on others.

I believe that the majority of non-organic mental health problems are rooted in either fear or grief and loss.  Therefore, all therapeutic issues are viewed first from that perspective.

I believe that people really can change.

I believe that those who have been victimized should not be labeled as victims but as survivors.  They need support and guidance as they establish boundaries against further physical, mental or emotional assault.  They need to be thought how to safely express their anger and free themselves from any self-blame or guilt.  They need to be encouraged to heal.  This will allow the traumatic event to become a part of history rather than the defining lifetime label.

I believe that learning self-control and the value of ethical behavior contributes to the positive development of the character which continues throughout an entire lifetime.  It is never too late to better yourself and your relationships with others.

I believe that family is a cornerstone of society.  Strong, healthy family provide the structure, safety and security necessary for a child to mature into a confident well-rounded individual ready to make his or her place in the world happy and productive.  all efforts should be made to insure this outcome.

I welcome the opportunity to help all who come to us for treatment enjoy more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
